If I had to pick one image to represent my entire week, it would be this one. Between running flat out for the past 4 days, with job interviews that go nowhere and beg, borrowing and stealing the practicals to pull a book fair booth out of my ass, it was hard to settle on the apex of my week or nadir depending on your point of view.
At 6 AM Saturday on the way to the Great Barrington bookfair and having had only 2 hours of honest sleep out of 36, I had to stop on the Massachusetts Turnpike during a torrential downpour, to fix a wiper blade. The white things are zip cord that I use to close merchandise bags.
combine the road on the left with the weather on the right. Actually, that’s not true the weather was much much worse.
