liquid, fragile or perishable?

It seems my weeks have flattened out into, Mon to Wed work and blog, and Thu-Sun work and charity work. I took a trip to the food bank, when they have something to shoot, I will give you a picture. As for the other 501(c), we added another day to our event schedule. Apparently kittens have lost some of their appeal, three days this week no adoptions. Perhaps I will offer them as my own lagniappe and start packing them in with the outgoing orders.

worth reading • Power Moby-Dick: The Online Annotation annotations by Margaret Guroff. No excuse not to read it now, is there? I think this very clever. It even has a glossary.

worth hearing • NPR is interviewing mystery authors this week, today is Sarah Graves.

off topic • from NPR Here and Now Harvard University professor of applied math Laxminarayanan Mahadevan interviewed about physics of the familiar: how paint dries, the way flags flutter etc..(Read more in Harvard Magazine) hey, i thought it was fascinating.

obit of note • from Radio Netherlands – The Dutch writer Janwillem van de Wetering, famous for the Grijpstra & de Gier series of crime novels, has died at the age of 77. Most of Mr Van de Wetering’s novels were based on his own experiences in various parts of the world. At the time of his death, he was living in the US state of Maine.
