plant life

brekkie…well for me anyway..no i didn’t finish it..i can’t eat all that at once..1st place not all uncooked vegetables sit well with me and the other cooking shit takes time and i just don’t usually have that much in the day to cook. So I am going to have to figure out what is a ‘convenience’ food for me. Yeah I know there is the elephant in the room – ‘granola’ never ever has been something i could stomach much of. My favorite was always the one with extra sweeteners worked into it. I don’t think that’s a good idea either, but we will see what happens.

I didn’t stop at just rotating out my refrigerator’s contents, i swapped out the whole fridge. Why not right? a new fridge is something I have been thinking about for a while. The Beast was a 15cuft General Electric thing that just wouldn’t die. It came with the apartment, i know the house wasn’t exactly built around it but I wouldn’t be surprised. It was at least 30 years old and looked it, rust freckled the sides, a couple of cracks decorated the inside the stupid footplate thing was missing, made strange noises on occasion and the back was just generally filthy.

Luckily there was one in the garage that i have had my eye on for a few years (there is one lurking in the barn too, but it’s bigger than the beast) I don’t know what yard sale my brother picked it up at. Despite the spiders, mold and leaves it was sporting it was in brand newish condition for 10 years old. From what i can tell is exactly the same model Home Depot has been tempting me with by displaying it near the checkout. I have been coveting this low end Whirlpool white box for a while already; so I stole it. Well it’s not exactly stealing but in a few months or years when my brother notices it isn’t in the garage, I’m gonna hear about it.

I did a good evisceration of the contents of the old one..to get all the veggies stored comfortably. I can’t get over how WHITE it is inside..the Beast was beige inside and out and never ever looked clean or bright. Now I only have to worry about consuming the plant material before it all goes bad on me.
