As you can see it is similar to what it was . . . and no i don’t like all the dark buttons, I will try to redo them to make them less obtrusive. I can’t get the pulldown menus to work. This new blogger likes to do everything FOR you. Which means if you want something a certain way, you have to do a double back flip through a paper hoop to get it. I can add the code for the menus as HTML but when you click on them, they are dead links. So I am back to the drawing board. New Blogger has a lot in common with New Coke, it reminds you of all the things you liked about Old Coke and thought you hated. Instead of one big template, it has everything broken down into XML widgets (short pieces of self contained code) Which is actually reminiscent of how we used to write programs back in the bad old days. Since I am not fluent in XML yet, I need to go troll the hacking blogs, which offer up little bits of code to do all sorts of nifty things. The trick is to figure out which one works for your particular bedevilment.
