U.S. Patent Application No. 20090171750

worth reading – Columnist Danny Westneat of Seattle Times has a post on Amazon’s new plan to insert advertising into books. I found it well worth reading. It that finally proves to me that Jeff Bezos is actually just a pretentious greedy prick. “I kind of am grumpy when I am forced to read a physical book, because it’s not as convenient … You can’t turn the page with one hand. The book is always flopping itself shut at the wrong moment. It’s had a great 500-year run … but it’s time to change.”

A lot of my 19th century and up books have advertising in them – although it's generally for the publisher's other books, but sometimes other ads do appear. It's not a new idea at any rate.

Nevertheless, I feel sorry for future generations. Without physical books, just like without physical paintings or live music, something of beauty will have gone out of the world.

I feel like retching. I wish he were here so I could retch all over his shoes.

Your word verification is "eagad". How appropriate.
